James (Jim if you prefer) is someone who enjoys history and equally enjoys telling a tale. His first works were of contemporary fiction but more recently he has focused on historical fiction. His background is Naval, having commanded ships and risen to the rank of Captain over a 30+ year career. He resides in a small coastal town in SE Australia enjoying the company of his wife Sally and Labrador dog Pippa.
